Why primary sources

Durable and free to reuse

US federal data is public domain; ECB, Eurostat, ONS, ABS and RBA publish under open licences. No vendor terms sit between you and the number, and we name the licence on every response.

Vintages, not just history

GDP is revised three times; payrolls twice. history?as_of= returns the series exactly as it was known on that day, so a backtest never sees a revision it could not have seen.

Release-aware

The calendar drives collection. On a release day the affected series are polled every minute until the new period lands, then the release is stamped with the time we observed it.

1,000 macro data calls a month, free, with one prompt

This API is the macrodata feed on RealtimeAPI.ai. A free RealtimeAPI key covers 1,000 calls a month across every feed there, so an agent that also needs crypto or stock data uses one key for all of it. Paste one prompt into Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or any agent and it adds the MCP server, mints the key and runs a CPI call to prove it works.
